What further training opportunities do I have after my apprenticeship as a Federal VET Diploma baker-confectioner?
Once you have completed an apprenticeship as a baker-confectioner (Federal VET Diploma), the following options are open to you:
- Courses: Courses offered by Richemont Fachschule and the Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurial Training SIU
- Shortened basic education:
- in the other specialization (1 year)
- Federal VET Diploma cook (2 years)
- Internships abroad: Stagiaire agreements with various countries. Information can be obtained from the Federal Office for Foreign Nationals in Bern.
- Federal Professional Examination (FPE) with Federal Diploma of Higher Education: Head Baker-Pastry Chef-Confectioner with Federal Diploma of Higher Education
- Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (AFPE) with Swiss Federal Diploma: Certified Operations Manager Bakery-Pastry-Confectionery
- College of Higher Education (CHE): graduate technician in food technology. Different admission requirements apply depending on the College of Higher Education.
- University of Applied Sciences: Bachelor of Science (UAS) in Food Technology, Bachelor of Science (UAS) in Business Administration. Different admission requirements apply depending on the University of Applied Sciences.
