Does an interpreting course lead to a recognized qualification?
Not every interpreting course will lead you to an association-recognized or even federally recognized qualification, so if you are considering such training for a professional activity, you should pay attention to this criterion when looking for a suitable training course. You can, however, obtain the Swiss INTERPRET certificate for intercultural interpreting and, if you are interested, build on this by passing the Federal Professional Examination to obtain a federal certificate. This certificate and professional certificate focus on trialogue interpreting, i.e. the oral communication of two different languages, taking into account the socio-cultural background.
