Wie erkenne ich die Arbeitszeugnis Codes?
How do I recognize the job reference codes?
There are actually a few phrases, so-called codes, that HR managers like to use to describe employees' performance and working methods without having to offend them. Employment references can explicitly state that they are "uncoded", i.e. that they do not contain any "secret messages". Such secret codes are inadmissible as they have a deceptive effect. If this is not the case, look in particular for the following statements that assess your performance:
- He/she always carried out all tasks to our complete satisfaction. (=very good performance)
- He/she always carried out all tasks to our complete satisfaction. (=good performance)
- He/she carried out all tasks to our complete satisfaction. (=satisfactory performance)
- He/she carried out all tasks to our satisfaction. (= poor performance)
- He/she generally performed all tasks to our satisfaction. (= poor performance)
If you are not satisfied with the wording, be sure to talk to your line manager about it and, if necessary, ask for a new reference that realistically reflects your performance.
