What are the symptoms of exam anxiety?

Test anxiety can manifest itself on several levels in the short or long term. For example, on a cognitive level, when negative thoughts and great self-doubt lead to a distorted perception. Finally, on a physical level, when the body reacts with psychological or physiological symptoms. For example:

  • Sweating and trembling
  • Palpitations
  • Urge to urinate
  • Nausea, stomach pain and diarrhea
  • Sleep disorders
  • Inner restlessness, dizziness
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Head, neck and back pain
  • Cardiovascular diseases due to the excess stress hormones emitted
  • Depression
