What are the benefits of self-organization in companies?
Self-organization in a company clearly has many advantages, but not all of them. It is not possible to leave every single step to the employees themselves. Standards must be adhered to and quality assurance must be guaranteed. It is therefore important to first analyze in which areas and for which tasks increased agility is required and where exactly self-management and self-organization is needed. Although the introduction of self-organization in a company initially means additional work for managers, this step pays off in most cases. After this change process, for which the managers should also receive extensive coaching, the burden on managers is lightened because the employees organize and manage themselves independently. It is always important that change management is conducted professionally, that managers and the team receive sufficient competent support and that this process does not take place from one day to the next.
