Exam nerves - what to do?
There are a few tips to avoid a negative learning effect due to exam nerves. Exam nerves, what to do to avoid falling into the negative spiral:
- Good exam preparation
- Writing a learning plan and setting goals
- Put on your blinkers and concentrate fully on yourself
- Finding your way out of the head cinema (by practising phrases beforehand, familiarizing yourself with the worst-case scenario)
- Using fear as motivation
- Simulate test beforehand
- Switch off and take conscious breaks
- Progressively relax muscles
- Consume enough energy in the form of food
- Breathe away blackouts (take three deep breaths, start again)
