Exam nerves - what to do?

There are a few tips to avoid a negative learning effect due to exam nerves. Exam nerves, what to do to avoid falling into the negative spiral:

  • Good exam preparation
  • Writing a learning plan and setting goals
  • Put on your blinkers and concentrate fully on yourself
  • Finding your way out of the head cinema (by practising phrases beforehand, familiarizing yourself with the worst-case scenario)
  • Using fear as motivation
  • Simulate test beforehand
  • Switch off and take conscious breaks
  • Progressively relax muscles
  • Consume enough energy in the form of food
  • Breathe away blackouts (take three deep breaths, start again)
