Sie können bei Nichtbestehen der MarKom Zertifikatsprüfung MZP die Prüfung sooft wiederholen, wie Sie wollen. Allerdings müssen Sie alle Prüfungsteile, auch die, die Sie bereits bestanden haben, erneut bestehen sowie die gesamte Prüfungsgebühr entrichten. Für die Wiederholung der Prüfung gelten dieselben Bedingungen wie für die erste Prüfung.

Until 2018, passing the MarKom certificate examination was a prerequisite for participation in the federal professional examinations (BP) in the fields of marketing, sales, PR, copywriting and communication. From the 2019 examination year, participants in the professional examinations will no longer necessarily need the certificate. However, it is still an excellent preparation for further courses or for a solid entry into the marketing communications sector.

The MarKom certificate examination is not a federally recognized training course, but an examination founded by the industry associations pr suisse Schweizerischer Public Relations Verband (SPRV), Schweizer Werbung (SW), Verkauf Schweiz /VS), Swiss Marketing (SMC), Schweizer Direktmarketing Verband (SDV), Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Marketing (GfM) and FAIR Fédération des Agents Indépendants et Réprésentants, which is valid for five years. Until the 2018 examination year, it was a prerequisite for admission to the five professional examinations with a federal certificate in these areas. But even today, the MarKom certificate still enjoys a good reputation throughout the country.

There are training providers who offer the MarKom training as an online course. For example, the e-learning is structured as 180 lessons including 6 online meetings as a supervised course or as complete self-study. The advantages of training as an online course are obvious:

Laut Prüfungsordnung ist es für die Teilnahme an der MarKom Prüfung nicht Voraussetzung, dass Sie einen Vorbereitungskurs besuchen, jedoch wird dies sehr empfohlen. In einem Vorbereitungskurs bekommen Sie nicht nur alles notwendige Wissen vermittelt, um die Prüfung zu bestehen, sondern können auch Fragen stellen, diskutieren und sich auf die Prüfungssituation vorbereiten. Sie nehmen an Testübungen teil und können gezielt praktische Übungen zu Bereichen wiederholden, in denen Sie Defizite aufweisen. Da die Zertifikatsprüfung sehr umfassend ist, sollten Sie den Besuch eines vorangehenden Lehrgangs unter allen Umständen ins Auge fassen.

Um sich zur MarKom Zertifikatsprüfung anmelden zu können, müssen Sie am Tag der Prüfung mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein und die Prüfungsgebühren fristgerecht überwiesen haben. Jede Schule bietet unterschiedliche Kursmodelle an, die sich etwa über vier bis sechs Monate erstrecken. Bei einigen Schulen können Sie auch Intensivkurse besuchen, die Ihnen das notwendige Wissen innerhalb weniger Wochen vermitteln. Sollten Sie über eine KV-Grundbildung verfügen, so können Sie bei einigen Schulen die MarKom Prüfungsvorbereitung auch zeitlich reduzieren.

Die MarKom Zertifikatsprüfung MZP bereitet Sie unter anderem auch auf die Berufsprüfungen Marketingfachmann / Marketingfachfrau, Verkaufsfachfrau / Verkaufsfachmann, Kommunikationsplaner / Kommunikationsplanerin, Texter / Texterin sowie PR Fachmann / PR Fachfrau vor. Das bedeutet, dass die geprüften Fächer auch in all diesen Bereichen zu finden sind und Ihr Grundwissen in den Fächern Marketing, PR, Verkauf und Distribution und Marketingkommunikation prüfen.
