Ein eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis EFZ, eine gymnasiale Maturität oder ein vergleichbarer Abschluss mit mindestens fünf Jahren Berufserfahrung in mindestens zwei von fünf Unternehmenslogistikbereichen (Distribution, Produktion, Entsorgung, Beschaffung, Lager) mit Führungs-, Teilprojekt- oder Projektleitungserfahrung, oder eidg. Fachausweis oder Hochschulabschluss mit mindestens drei Jahren Berufserfahrung in den genannten Bereichen, oder Diplom einer Höheren Fachschule oder Höheren Fachprüfung mit zwei Jahren Berufserfahrung in zwei der genannten Bereiche sind für den Prüfungsantritt dipl. Logistikleiter / dipl. Logistikleiterin erforderlich. Hinzu kommen Projektleitungs- und/oder Führungserfahrung sowie die erforderlichen SSC-Modulabschlüsse oder Gleichwertigkeitsbescheinigungen.

Wird der Lehrgang zum Leiter Logistik / Logistikleiterin nur berufsbegleitend durchgeführt?

Bei einem Vorbereitungslehrgang auf die Höhere Fachprüfung dipl. Logistikleiter / Logistikleiterin handelt es sich um eine berufsbegleitende Weiterbildung, welche sich über einen Zeitraum von etwa 1 bis 1.5 Jahren erstreckt, zuzüglich der Erstellung der Diplomarbeit. Dipl. Logistikleiter und Logistikleiterinnen sind in Handels-, Dienstleistungs- und Produktionsbetrieben im Logistikmanagement tätig. Dort übernehmen sie Leitungs- und Führungsaufgaben in der über- und innerbetrieblichen Logistik, entwickeln Logistikkonzepte, führen diese ein und setzen sie um, sind für die Analyse und Optimierung des Informations- und Warenflusses sowie für die Gesamt- oder Bereichslogistik verantwortlich. Sie sind als Projektleitende, Fachspezialisten und -spezialistinnen, als Linienvorgesetzte und als Mitglieder des oberen Kaders tätig.

Um zur Prüfung dipl. Logistikleiter / dipl. It serves as preparation for the higher professional examination and leads to a double qualification: SSC Certificate HFP and Swiss Federal Diploma in Logistics Management. Head of Logistics with a federal diploma: The professionals in the flow of goods

Logistics managers are responsible for handling complex tasks in the internal and inter-company logistics of retail, production and service companies. They must manage the development, introduction and implementation of logistics solutions in line with the company process. The aim of their work is to increase productivity. In addition, logistics managers analyze and optimize the flow of goods and information. They take on a managerial role in the company and are therefore responsible for one of the areas of procurement logistics, warehouse logistics, production logistics, distribution logistics or waste disposal logistics.

Training to become a Head of Logistics takes one to two years (part-time). The examination content includes a diploma thesis, case studies, a questionnaire and a group assessment. After completing the training and passing the higher specialist examination, the federally recognized and protected title of "Logistics Manager with Federal Diploma" is awarded.

What are the admission requirements for the certified logistics manager training?

A federal certificate of proficiency EFZ, a high school diploma or a comparable qualification with at least five years of professional experience in at least two of five company logistics areas (distribution, production, disposal, procurement, warehouse) with management, sub-project or project management experience, or a federal diploma or university degree with at least three years of professional experience in the above-mentioned areas. A federal certificate or university degree with at least three years of professional experience in the above-mentioned areas, or a diploma from a higher technical college or higher technical examination with two years of professional experience in two of the above-mentioned areas are required to take the diploma in logistics management. Project management and/or leadership experience as well as the required SSC module qualifications or certificates of equivalence are also required.

Is the Logistics Manager course only offered on a part-time basis?

A preparatory course for the advanced diploma in logistics management is an in-service training course which lasts between 1 and 1.5 years, plus the preparation of the diploma thesis. The schools will inform you of the exact dates of the course.
