Tell us about your career.

My name is Ramona Bühler, I am 33 years old and I work as an HR specialist. I originally trained as an optician. However, relatively soon after completing my training, I realized that I wanted to advance my career and make some changes. I therefore completed further training to become a HR assistant with an HRSE certificate. This enabled me to move into HR development. I then attended and successfully completed the HR specialist course. Today I work as an HR specialist in St. Gallen.

Why did you complete the HR assistant and HR specialist training courses?

For me, both the HR Assistant and HR Specialist courses were extremely important in order to progress professionally and gain a foothold in the HR sector.

How has further training in HR increased your market value?

Of course, the two HR courses I attended enabled me to significantly increase my market value. As a result, I also found my current job as an HR specialist, which I always enjoy very much. I am very happy and satisfied in it.

education and my persistence."

What did you personally gain from training as an HR specialist with a federal certificate?

My personal success with my training as an HR specialist was to find a suitable position as a career changer in Human Resources. This worked out because I persistently pursued my goal and never let up. Without the HR specialist course, it would not have been possible for me to start working in HR. I can use the theoretical background I learned every day in my job. Even in my private life, people are always coming to me for advice on HR issues.

What did you like best about the HR specialist course?

What I really liked about the HR specialist course was the lively exchange between the participants. I always had the feeling that I was learning something new and using my time wisely. This gave me a good feeling and I really enjoyed learning together in class.

Was there a special "aha" moment during the professional HR exam?

I didn't have a specific "aha" experience during my HR specialist training. I simply realized how much I gained from the subject of social insurance in my private life. Previously, I had hardly dealt with the three-pillar principle or pension funds and therefore understood little about them.

What was the atmosphere like during the HR training courses?

The atmosphere during the HR assistant and HR specialist training was very pleasant for me. There was a good mix of people from different professions in the HR assistant class. The HR specialist course was actually only attended by people from the HR sector. This enabled me to build up a good network of HR specialists. I can get specific advice there if I get stuck somewhere.

Who would you recommend the HR assistant course to?

"The course prepares students for a job in the
Employee advice and support."

I can recommend the HR assistant course to anyone, regardless of whether they want to work in HR or not. Even as a private individual, the knowledge gained as an HR specialist is very helpful and can also be used later in the private sector.

Who would you recommend the HR specialist course to?

I can recommend the HR specialist course to people who want to go into employee consulting or employee support in order to pursue a career there. I would not recommend the further training course for HR specialists or the HR specialist certificate for people who work in the administrative area of human resources and want to stay there. Unless such a federal certificate as an HR specialist is required by the company.

Why did you choose BVS St. Gallen as your school?

I chose the BVS in St. Gallen for my training as a personnel assistant because the course times suited me best and the teaching times were easy to combine with my professional activities. The overall offer at BVS was also right for me and met my requirements. For me, the school was a good all-round package: no waste of time or money, concentration on the essentials and what was relevant for the exam, good value for money, personal support and good lecturers. I can only recommend BVS in St. Gallen for the HR specialist training course.
