In the "Electrician" further training course, you will learn how to plan electrical installation projects and supervise the execution work. You will acquire the specialist knowledge to create concepts and analyses in the field of electrical installation and to assess existing electrical systems. You will also acquire the knowledge and skills you need to successfully manage a company - from making strategic decisions to dealing with personnel issues.
The diploma of the higher professional examination "Electrician" certifies that you have the specialist knowledge required by law in accordance with NIV 1 to create and modify electrical installations on your own responsibility, to permanently connect electrical devices or to supervise other persons in the process. This gives you the qualifications you need to manage a company or set up your own electrical installation company.
ATTENTION: Since 2021, the course and title have been renamed "Electrical installation and safety expert". From 2019 to 2021, there will be a transitional period during which schools can advertise courses under both titles and examinations can be taken under the old or new regulations.
