Welche Inhalte vermittelt eine Diplomausbildung zum Tierhomöopath / zur Tierhomöopathin?
What does a diploma course in animal homeopathy involve?
Training in animal homeopathy is not yet federally recognized, so there is no fixed, i.e. regulated, curriculum. This means that each school sets its own priorities and teaches them in its own way.
As a rule, training is divided into the following areas:
- Basics of classical homeopathy (e.g. history and philosophy, principles, pharmacology, dosage theory, potency selection)
- Basic veterinary knowledge (including anatomy and physiology, pathology, behavioral biology & species-specific characteristics, recognizing emergencies, hygiene, infection theory, vaccinations)
- Species-specific homeopathy (e.g. special features of application in different animal species, behavioral therapy aspects in homeopathy, communication with animal owners)
- Anamnesis and case recording for animals
- Repertory and Materia Medica
- Professional knowledge, ethics and law (e.g. legal basis for animal therapists in Switzerland, differentiation from veterinary medicine, advertising, duty to inform, documentation)
