Which nutrition training courses are recognized by health insurance companies?

For health insurance recognition you need either

• a federally recognized education or continuing education, further training in nutrition (e.g. BSc Nutritional Counseling UAS, federal diploma as naturopath TCM or Ayurveda medicine)

or

• for EMR registration with nutritional counseling (method no. 68): at least 150 hours of specialist training and at least 600 hours of conventional medical training

or

• for ASCA recognition: 150 hours at levels 1 and 2 and 300 hours at level 3 are required as a further training method for doctors, health practitioners or naturopaths. This applies to nutritional counseling in Ayurvedic medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Alternative Medicine (WAM), identical to TEN.
