Difference between social pedagogue CHE Flex and the classic CHE degree program

What distinguishes the Social Pedagogue CHE Flex model from the classic CHE degree program?

In the Flex model, studies are organized more individually: self-organized learning is combined with specifically planned attendance modules that are timed to fit in with professional practice. There are no fixed school days, but rather a flexible coordination of attendance phases, self-study and practical work in consultation with the school.

A practical placement in a recognized institution is also a prerequisite for the Social Pedagogue CHE Flex model, as the training is strongly practice-oriented. The practice is often more closely integrated into the learning and skills assessments. Many providers also support Flex students with learning or study coaching.

The Social Pedagogue CHE Flex model is particularly suitable for people with irregular working hours, family commitments or a high degree of self-organization, as modules and study progress can be planned individually to some extent.
