What are the team building phases?
There are 4 phases of team building:
- Orientation phase (forming)
- Ensuring safety and orientation
- Clear instructions and distribution of tasks
- Checking the progress of each individual
- Confrontation phase (Storming)
- Maintain motivation
- Allow confrontation, but prevent attacks on a personal level
- Use different communication techniques and solve problems
- Regulation phase (norming)
- Transferring important tasks
- Being in constant communication with the team (meetings)
- Make successes visible to provide additional motivation
- Performance phase (Performing)
- Be open to innovation
- Withdraw and trust the team
- Allow every team member to contribute
- Promote continuous communication
