Can I do my apprenticeship in gastronomy with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate?
You can obtain a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (BM1 or BM2) both during and after your apprenticeship. You usually attend vocational baccalaureate classes one day a week during your apprenticeship, or in one year full-time or 1.5 to 2 years part-time after your basic training. A catering apprenticeship with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate gives you the opportunity to continue your education at a University of Applied Sciences and, in some cases, at a university.
