Is it necessary to have previous work experience for bricklaying apprenticeships?
It is not necessary to already have professional experience for a "classic" bricklaying apprenticeship.
In the case of catch-up training in accordance with Art. 32 BBV, however, the training program is explicitly aimed at bricklayers who have not completed vocational education and training (VET) and do not have a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and now wish to catch up.
Applicants must have at least five years of professional experience, at least three years of which must be as a bricklayer.
