Health insurance companies are free to decide which therapy costs they will cover with their supplementary insurance policies; this also applies to treatment with Schüssler salts. Most health insurance companies base their decisions in the field of alternative or complementary medicine on the two registers EMR and ASCA: anyone who is registered there as a therapist for a certain method can very probably charge the corresponding treatment costs to health insurance companies.
In the case of Schüssler salts, however, only federally certified TEN naturopaths and doctors can register with the EMR, and only federally certified TEN naturopaths can register with the ASCA. Both registrations require at least 50 contact hours of training in Schüssler salts.
