Supervising apprentices - do I need vocational trainer training?
The supervision of apprentices does not necessarily require vocational trainer training. It is important to distinguish between vocational trainers (responsible for training apprentices in a company, concludes apprenticeship contracts with apprentices, takes on coordination and organizational tasks) and practical trainers (only involved in practical training and supervision of apprentices). By law, practical trainers do not require a vocational trainer certificate, but must have specialist knowledge and professional experience in the area in which they provide training.
