Subject matter, skills and competencies

In the "Process Technology (HF)" degree program (formerly Corporate Processes HF / Technician HF Corporate Processes), you will acquire the basics of business administration and entrepreneurial thinking and also learn about process management.

After successfully completing the HF Process Technician course (formerly HF Business Process Technician), you will be able to analyze operational and logistical processes, calculate their profitability and work out changes. Thanks to your knowledge of project management and leadership, you will also be able to plan and support the introduction of new processes and supervise the people involved either professionally or as a line manager.

You therefore meet all the requirements to take on project management and leadership tasks in process management - in any area of the company, whether production, logistics, organization, IT or other.

Career prospects and further training opportunities

As a process technician HF, you are a generalist with business and process-related know-how. You can apply your skills in both industrial and service companies, where you can optimize operational processes and constantly adapt them to the requirements of technological developments.

The qualification also provides a good starting point for your personal further training at a higher technical college or university of applied sciences:

  • It enables admission to subject-specific postgraduate courses at higher technical colleges (NDS-HF), e.g. in Business Engineering, Industrial Management or Business & Engineering.
  • It enables entry into a Bachelor's degree course at a university of applied sciences, e.g. in systems engineering or business administration.
