What are the benefits of the HRSE certificate? What is the difference between graduating with and without the HRSE certificate?

The following courses are currently offered under the name "HRSE":

  • HR Assistant with HRSE certificate
  • HR specialist with a federal certificate (professional examination with various specializations: Operational HR management, public recruitment and consulting, private recruitment and hiring)
  • Head of Human Resources with a federal diploma (higher professional examination)

While the federal qualifications, for example HR specialists with a federal certificate, require basic vocational training (EFZ, baccalaureate, baccalaureate or equivalent qualification), the HRSE certificate for HR assistants and relevant professional experience, the HR assistant training with HRSE certificate is generally open to anyone with general professional and/or internship experience.

Training as an HR assistant with an HRSE certificate creates an ideal knowledge base and is therefore suitable for re-entry (for example after a maternity leave, an accident or illness) or as a (lateral) entry into a new specialist area.

Degree with or without HRSE certificate - what's the difference?

Non-formal continuing education courses usually conclude with a certificate from the school. Depending on the course, it is possible to have the certificate recognized by industry and professional associations or to obtain an external qualification, such as an HRSE certificate, after completing the course. In such cases, the course with the school's own certificate is often also preparation for the HRSE exam.

  • School's own certificate:The school's own certificate is the most common qualification offered in non-formal continuing education. Because a course leading to a school certificate is not federally regulated and can in principle be designed and offered by anyone, the learning content (topics, as well as their breadth and depth), target group, admission requirements, duration, costs and implementation can differ from provider to provider. Nevertheless, the school's own certificates can be absolutely profitable and career-enhancing. For example, in the area of industry-specific further training.
  • HRSE certificate:The HRSE certificates are supported by relevant industry and professional associations, in close cooperation with well-known players in the HR sector. The examination content is officially defined in the examination regulations/guidance and the final examinations are organized centrally by the HRSE and corrected according to uniform guidelines (grading scale). As a result, the certificates are well established and positioned with employers.
