Graduates of the FH Architecture degree program often start out as employees in an architecture or planning office or in public administration. As part of the team, they work independently and share responsibility for one or more stages in the project planning, execution, maintenance and renovation of buildings. With increasing practical experience, they can also take on more demanding management and leadership tasks.
In principle, the step into self-employment is also possible directly after graduating from a university of applied sciences. However, clients usually require a lot of professional experience and references for projects already completed. It is therefore advisable to take the route of employment to gain professional experience and references by working on projects and taking on management tasks (team, office).
