What should I look out for when choosing the right language school?
Learning a new language or improving your existing language skills is not always easy, especially if you choose the wrong course or a school that doesn't really meet your expectations. If you want to take a French course at a language school here in Switzerland, you should always bear in mind that an environment in which learning is fun and relaxed also plays an important role in effective and profitable learning. It makes sense to arrange a trial lesson where you can get a taste of a similar course and get to know the atmosphere of the school, the facilities in the rooms and the methods used by the teachers. The following points should also be taken into account when making your choice:
- Native speaking teaching staff
- Qualifications of the teaching staff
- Course offer / duration / number of lessons in total and per week
- Class size
- School infrastructure and facilities
- Teaching materials and learning methods
- Examinations and certificates
- Approvals
- Placement tests
- Location of the school (transport connections, parking, distance to your home)
