Where do federally qualified dental hygienists (CHE) work?
Federally qualified dental hygienists work primarily in dental practices. These can be individual practices as well as group practices in which they work as employees or self-employed. They are also frequently found in hospitals and nursing homes, in university and school clinics. It is also not uncommon to find dental hygienists in health centers, educational institutions, industry or the public sector, where they pursue their professional activities on a full-time or part-time basis.
