Fire protection specialists usually work for fire protection authorities, engineering offices, architectural firms or construction companies. They usually work in an office and create concepts, carry out inspections on construction sites and negotiate with various contacts. After training as a fire protection specialist with a federal certificate, they work as planners, project managers or quality officers in the private sector or with the fire protection authorities in compliance with and monitoring of fire protection regulations.
