Wo arbeiten Ergotherapeutinnen?
Where do occupational therapists work?
Occupational therapists work with people who are or will be permanently or temporarily affected by an accident, disability, disorder, mental or physical illness or other restriction and whose independence is at risk. Training as an occupational therapist enables you to become self-employed or employed in a wide variety of facilities and areas. These include inpatient, day-care and outpatient areas of the healthcare system, such as long-term, rehabilitation and acute institutions. However, you will also find employment after your training in outpatient and community-oriented healthcare, educational and social institutions, in the field of ergonomics and health promotion in companies, in occupational rehabilitation or in various other areas that require well-trained occupational therapists.
