No, frontal teaching is not used in a Maria Montessori school, as children and young people are responsible for what they learn and how they learn it and should only perceive learning staff as supporters who provide them with assistance and suggestions at all times. Frontal teaching as such cannot respond to each child individually, but can only ever see the whole, through which individual support and personal development according to Montessori pedagogy is not possible.
