Wie werden die ECTS bei einem Studium in Verfahrenstechnik verrechnet?

How are ECTS credited for a degree in Process Engineering?

In order to obtain a Bachelor's degree in process engineering, you must collect 180 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System), 90 ETCS for a Master's degree and 120 ECTS for some other subjects. The corresponding points are collected during the course of study at a University of Applied Sciences for Process Engineering in lectures, project work, exercises, laboratory work and the Bachelor's or Master's thesis. In CAS and often also DAS postgraduate courses, the final thesis is often omitted. Each ECTS point corresponds to a workload of 25 to 30 hours, so that 4500 to 5400 hours are expected for a Bachelor's degree, and half of that for a Master's degree. In the case of lectures (frontal lectures), these working hours do not correspond to the actual lecture time, but are made up of lecture, preparation and follow-up time as well as exam preparation. For example, 90 minutes are charged for a 45-minute lecture. For case studies, projects and the like, however, the time is offset 1:1 with ECTS. The Bachelor's thesis at a University of Applied Sciences for Process Engineering is credited with a fixed number of ECTS points.
