How do I become a chef?
After completing an apprenticeship as a chef with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and a few years of professional experience, you can opt for continuing education, further training and Federal Professional Examination and take the first step on your way to becoming a qualified chef. After a further three years in the profession, you can then take part in a preparatory course for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) and work as a chef.
