In order to be able to complete the continuing education, further training to become a Tourism Expert via a Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Tour Guiding, the following are required by the start of the examination:

• Federal VET Diploma, Specialized Baccalaureate, Secondary School Certificate, Baccalaureate or equivalent qualification

and

• Three years of full-time professional experience in the service sector

and

• Knowledge of at least one foreign language at level B1

and

• Required module qualifications or certificates of equivalence
