How many years of professional experience as a Junior Controller do I need for the AFPE Expert in Accounting / Controlling?
The number of years of professional experience required for continuing education, further training and qualification as an expert in accounting and controlling varies depending on previous education. For example, Junior Controllers with a Swiss Federal Diploma require at least two years of professional experience in a qualifying professional activity in the field of accounting and controlling, persons with another Federal Diploma, Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (Achtung: Engl.) or Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (AFPE) require three years of professional experience and persons with a Bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Sciences or University require three years of professional experience. In addition, there must be no entries in the central criminal record and a three-day management workshop (organized by the responsible body) must be completed.
