How much do I earn in a commercial apprenticeship?
There is no minimum wage for apprentices in Switzerland, which means that apprenticeship wages vary greatly when training to become a Federal VET Diploma commercial clerk. The salary must be regulated in the apprenticeship contract and is a matter for negotiation between the training company and the apprentice. In most cases, however, the salary for commercial apprentices is roughly as follows:
- 1st year of apprenticeship: 770.- CHF
- 2nd year of apprenticeship: 980.- CHF
- 3rd year of apprenticeship: 1480.- CHF
