How much time do I need to allow for training in the field of massage?
Courses that provide training in a wide variety of massages, such as a hot stone massage course, can last as little as one day. Other courses at massage institutes last three days, while others last a few weeks. Depending on the intensity with which you study, you can expect to spend between 1.5 and 2 years training to become a professional masseur; up to four years part-time for continuing education, further training to become a medical masseur with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
