Wie viel Prozent kann ich neben einem Bachelorstudium noch arbeiten gehen?
What percentage can I still work alongside a Bachelor's degree?
The number of hours you can work alongside a Bachelor's degree depends very much on the subject you are studying, how quickly and effectively you learn, whether you are interested in the course, how quickly you want to finish your degree, how urgently you need money and so on and so forth. Basically, a Bachelor's degree is a full-time course of study, which should be pursued full-time and with full attention. Nevertheless, a part-time job is of course also conceivable (after all, this is the case for around 80 percent of all Swiss students), but this should only be for a small number of hours. However, the situation is different for a part-time Bachelor's degree. In this case, you have an extra year to complete your degree and can use this time to work, for example. Some Universities allow you to work 40 percent of the time, others even up to 100 percent. The Universities themselves, which have sufficient experience in this field and can give you an estimate depending on the subject, can usually tell you quite well how much time you have left for your profession or other professional activity during your studies.
