How much practical experience do I need for admission to the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for Certified Public Accountants?

In order to be admitted to the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (AFPE) as an auditor with a federal diploma, the following is required:

  • University degree (University of Applied Sciences or University), Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE), Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) or equivalent qualification

and

  • Industry qualification based on the requirements defined by the responsible body or equivalent qualification

and

  • At least 4 years of professional experience with at least 4,800 working hours

and

  • no entry in the central criminal record that could raise doubts about the candidate's integrity
