Wie unterscheiden sich die einzelnen Niveaustufen von einander?
How do the individual levels differ from each other?
If you are interested in a language course at one of the many French schools here in Switzerland or in French-speaking countries abroad, you will find that all courses are marked with a language level. These range from level A1 to C2 and reflect the language skills you will have at the end of the course. This roughly means the following:
- A1: You understand simple questions and can give answers to them
- A2: You are able to communicate in short sentences in familiar situations
- B1: You can find your way around in all everyday situations
- B2: You can communicate spontaneously and comprehensibly on various topics
- C1: You have a thorough knowledge of French and can communicate almost flawlessly
- C2: You have a perfect command of French (almost native speaker level)
