How expensive is training or continuing education, further training for trustees?
The costs for courses vary greatly depending on the course and type of qualification as well as the school. For example, a certificate course in accounting, which lasts 10 days, can cost CHF 6,500, as can a course to become an accounting / fiduciary / tax clerk, which lasts three semesters. But even for CHF 2,000 or less, you can complete competent and useful continuing education, further training courses which, just because they are cheaper, are necessarily of poorer quality. Federal Professional Examination courses, which usually last four to five semesters, cost around CHF 15,000, including teaching materials and internal examinations. In addition, there are the fees for the federal examination, which amount to around CHF 1,730 for the entrance examination and CHF 2,000 for the main examination; for all other fiduciary courses and training programs, please enquire about the costs directly with the relevant training providers.
