How long does a public relations training course take?
Training or continuing education, further training in PR can take very different lengths of time. It is possible to attend short seminars lasting just a few hours or days, depending on the content and seminar provider.
However, there are also certificate courses in public relations that last several months and conclude with a diploma thesis or an examination.
Federal Professional Examination (FPE) usually takes one year, Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) one and a half to two years and training at a College of Higher Education three years.
Postgraduate studies at a College of Higher Education (NDS CHE) take about one year, a Bachelor's degree program about six semesters and a Master's degree program two to four semesters.
A CAS course is conducted on a part-time basis and lasts one semester, whereas an MAS takes four.
