Wie lange dauert eine Ausbildung Pflege?
How long does nursing training take?
If you are interested in working as a nursing assistant, you can expect to complete 35 days of training, which includes the course and an almost 2-week internship. You can choose to complete this training as a day course, weekend course, block course or intensive course and thus vary the duration. Vocational education and training in the healthcare sector takes two years to obtain the Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (VET) or three years to obtain the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
You can expect continuing education, further training in nursing to take around 3 years, just like a full-time Bachelor's degree course. A Master's degree, on the other hand, usually lasts 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years. A continuing education course at a University of Applied Sciences usually takes 1 semester part-time as a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies), 3 semesters part-time as a DAS (Diploma of Advanced Studies) and 4 semesters part-time as a MAS (Master of Advanced Studies).
The relevant schools and Universities of Applied Sciences for your nursing training will be happy to provide you with exact details.
