How long does an MAS in Social Management take?
A Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) is a continuing education master's degree that is made up of several certificate courses (CAS), which are usually completed one after the other. In this way, a relatively free time allocation is possible and a Master's degree, including the Master's module, can extend over 3 to even 8 years. An MAS generally comprises 60 ECTS credits, with each ECTS credit worth 25 to 30 hours of study, although not all of these are completed in classroom teaching, but to a large extent through self-study. The individual Universities provide detailed information on the duration and number of attendance hours.
