Wie lange dauern Sprachkurse in Französisch?
How long do French language courses last?
There are many different types of language courses offered by French schools here in Switzerland or abroad. For example, some schools offer you the opportunity to improve or refresh your knowledge in a few evenings, for example in courses specifically for travel or language stays. Conventional standard courses often last four to six months and usually comprise 40 to 50 lessons. If you want to learn as much as possible in a shorter period of time, you can do so with intensive courses, which are much shorter but require you to be present three to five days a week. Such courses usually last between four and 12 weeks, depending on your available time.
Another way to learn French quickly is to attend French schools during a language stay. These language courses can be booked from two weeks to a year, with different levels of intensity and lessons per week. Even with private lessons, you determine the duration of the course yourself, depending on how long and how intensively you are prepared to learn. All other types of course, such as a French diploma course or company seminars, are also extremely variable in terms of time and vary greatly in duration depending on the school.
