Wie ist eine Ausbildung zum Hundepfleger aufgebaut?

Training to become a dog groomer is very practice-oriented and involves grooming at least 50 different dogs of at least 15 different breeds. During the three-day basic training course, participants learn about the tools and basic theoretical knowledge of dog grooming, experience grooming and carry it out themselves, gain knowledge on topics such as starting a business and financial planning, learn about different coat structures and work intensively on the dogs in practice. Participants learn how to cut claws, clean ears, de-matting and de-felting so that pet grooming can be carried out perfectly. They learn carding and plucking - pulling, bathing the dog, blow-drying, clipping and cutting. Styling and grooming with special products is also practiced in detail during the training. However, show grooming for special exhibitions and shows is only dealt with in passing during training as a dog groomer.
