Wie ist die Weiterbildung zur Prophylaxeassistentin aufgebaut?

How is continuing education, further training to become a prophylaxis assistant structured?

Continuing education, further training in dental prophylaxis takes place in two blocks and ends with the SSO-recognized specialist certificate for prophylaxis assistants. The first block of training covers theoretical knowledge and patient care and takes place in a two-week course followed by an internship. The internship is carried out in an SSO dental practice and lasts 60 days over six weeks. This training block also includes an intermediate examination, which tests theoretical knowledge and must be passed before the start of the internship. The second block consists of a one-week revision course for theory and practice. Some schools also offer individual revision days and a bleaching course. At the end of the prophylaxis assistant training, a final examination is held with a patient who has received independent care.
