The Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) to become a certified export manager lasts a total of 465 minutes and is divided into 5 examination parts, which are either written or oral. Before you are admitted to the examination, you must prepare a diploma thesis, in which you will also be examined orally, lasting half an hour. The individual parts of the examination can be subdivided, but consist of a 180-minute written examination on import and export, a 45-minute written examination on company management, a 45-minute specialist discussion on import and export and a 45-minute specialist discussion on company management.
