How is the course on lichens, aquatic plants and algae structured?
The CAS in Phytobenthos consists of a total of three modules and is worth 15 ETCTS. Module 1 deals with bioinduction, more specifically the assessment methods for the condition of running and still waters (FOEN and IBEM), as well as the ecology and systematics of macrophytes, diatoms and algae. Module 2 deals with the knowledge of species, including lichens and mosses, and the third module consists of a supervised final thesis. Knowledge is imparted by recognized Swiss experts in lectures, excursions and practice-oriented exercises.
