How is the Bachelor's degree program in Economics structured?

A Bachelor's degree in economics at a university or UAS comprises at least 180 ECTS credits and is completed in a standard period of study of six semesters full-time (nine semesters at a distance learning university) or correspondingly longer as a part-time or part-time degree. The economics course is made up of the fields of business administration (BWL) and economics (VWL), with different specializations depending on the university. A Bachelor's degree program consists of various compulsory modules and often freely selectable compulsory elective modules, which together add up to at least 180 ECTS points. The course concludes with a Bachelor's thesis and its examination. Possible modules include: Business Mathematics, Financial Markets, Business Statistics, Law & Economics, Financial Accounting, Environmental Economics and Economic Policy.
