Wie entscheide ich mich für den richtigen Sprachkurs?

How do I choose the right language course?

Once you have decided to attend a French course, you will find that there is a wide range of courses from a variety of French schools. You will find diploma courses, standard courses and language trips, as well as private courses and intensive courses, from which you must first choose the right option. You should also think about what your goals are, how quickly you want to achieve them, how motivated you are and how much time you can and want to invest in this language training. If you want to learn French quickly, you should opt for a language stay, an intensive course or individual coaching; if you want to prepare for a French language certificate, a diploma course is ideal. If you want to learn French regularly over a longer period of time, standard courses, online language courses and some special courses are suitable.

Once you have decided on a course option, you then go on to choose the right course for your language level. All courses are divided into levels recognized throughout Europe, starting at A1 and ending at C2. If you don't speak any French at all, you should look for an A1 beginners' course at one of the many French schools; if you already have a good knowledge of the language, a B1 course is probably the most suitable. However, as it is important to choose the right course and the right level, you should always take a placement test beforehand, which is offered free of charge by most language schools.
