What are the requirements for training for a teaching diploma?
The requirements for training for the teaching diploma are as follows:
- Previous education, e.g. teaching qualification for compulsory schooling (EDK-recognized diploma) or university degree (licentiate, diploma, bachelor's or master's degree from a University of Applied Sciences, university or FIT, preferably in a field related to the ABU subject area)
- At least 6 months of professional experience
The training institutions may impose additional requirements:
- Teaching experience in general education at a vocational school
- Recommendation of a vocational school based on a pedagogical-didactic aptitude assessment (SFIVET and UTE) or aptitude assessment with location determination (UTE Zurich).
