The choice of a suitable training course to become an event planner or sponsorship planner depends very much on what previous training you have, how much experience you have already gained in organizing events and sponsorship and what goals you are pursuing. There are a number of extremely interesting training and continuing education, further training courses in event marketing that are suitable for both beginners and experienced professionals. If you have little or no previous event organization experience, an event marketing course or, if you have the appropriate previous education (university degree or higher vocational training), a CAS course, a Certificate of Advanced Studies degree, at a University of Applied Sciences, for example in event management, may be suitable for you. The CAS in Event Management FHO with a focus on sports, cultural and corporate events, on the other hand, is mainly suitable for experienced marketing specialists, marketing managers, PR consultants, PR specialists or other people with extensive marketing experience and at least six months' experience in the event sector and is therefore not recommended as an introduction to event management and/or sponsorship.
