What school-leaving qualifications do I need for vocational training in Switzerland?
In order to obtain an apprenticeship contract and attend vocational school, you must have completed at least the compulsory schooling required in Switzerland. This is nine years at primary and lower-secondary level. In many cantons, this is supplemented by two years of kindergarten, although in some cantons kindergarten is only compulsory for one year and in others it is not compulsory at all.
