What apprenticeship qualification is required for the CHE degree course in Food Technology?
In order to begin a course of study at a College of Higher Education (CHE) in food technology, the admission requirements of the respective schools must be met. These vary greatly depending on the CHE and admit either only Federal VET Diploma food technologists with at least two years of professional experience or graduates of other apprenticeships in the food industry, such as wine technologists, dairy technologists, confectioners, chefs, meat specialists, millers and bakers, as well as those with a vocational baccalaureate. People with other qualifications can be admitted to training at some schools after a one-year internship in the food industry.
